Iranian Para-swimmer to attend German C’ships

TEHRAN, Mar. 06 (MNA) – Iran’s Alireza Jalili, who has secured a place at 2016 Paralympics, will take part in IPC International Swimming Championships in Germany.

Alireza Jalaili had previously received tickets to Paralympic Games by shining in Men's 200 m Freestyle S3 of 2014 Asian Para Games held in Incheon of South Korea.

Currently, Jalili swims at class S2 while he will attend the 30th International German Swimming Championships of the disabled in order to confirm his new sports class.

The German tournament will convene in Berlin’s Europasportpark diving center from June 9-12, 2016.

Meanwhile, Iran’s Shahin Izadyar has also gained quota to Rio Paralympics in Men's 100 m Breaststroke SB9 while the International Paralympic Committee has offered Iran with only one slut in Rio.

Accordingly, Iran’s National Paralympic Committee has defined thresholds for both swimmers and the swimmer to reach the determined records will travel to Rio.
